VTCB established their office and training institute in their own building, which is VTCB tower. VTCB Tower is located in the prime location in Mirpur -1, Dhaka. The Mission of VTCB
The Organization and its Objects :
Vocational Training Center for the blind (VTCB) is a Non-Profit organization which established with a view to provide training and rehabilitation Services to the Visually and Physically Impaired persons in Bangladesh. VTCB is registered under the Act of Voluntary Regulation ordinance 1978 vide their Memo No. ER/FDOR/R-109 with NGO Affairs Bureau, GOB.
The objectives with which VTCB was established :
To provide education and skill development training for the visually impaired and other disabled persons.
To extend earning opportunities to the visually impaired and other disable persons through remunerative employment.
to extend special assistance/ support to women with physical, visual or hearing impairment.
To rehabilitate the target group under a rehabilitation package.
To provide community based rehabilitation through employment support and entrepreneurship training with access to micro-finance.
Extraordinary Facilities
VTCB provides rehabilitation grants in cash to the handicapped after completion to training for their social and economic rehabilitation.
Our Achivments -
To fulfill its objectives, VTCB’s performance including the following:
During the year 21-2022 VTCB Conducted educated and vocational training to 56 visually Handicapped and disabled persons, female 26 and male 30.
Since its inception and up to end of 2021-2022, VTCB has provided training and rehabilitation (22 persons in 2019) to 1778 female and 1676 male trainees in the center.
Providing tools and equipment's after the training VTCB provide wheel chairs, Artificial limbs, visual and other necessary equipment's to the visually and physically handicapped persons.
